Studio One - my plug-ins aren't showing up

PROCESS.AUDIO plug-ins are compatible with Studio One 2 Pro (64-bit run only), Studio One 3 Pro (64-bit run only) and Studio One 4 Pro and above.

Step 1: Verify 64-bit Mode

PROCESS.AUDIO plug-ins are 64-bit only. Make sure you are NOT RUNNING Studio One in 32-bit mode.

Step 2: Note About VST3

By default, Studio One is not using VST3 plug-ins. You can go in your Studio One's advanced settings to activate it, but we would recommend against this.

Step 3: Reset Plug-in Blacklist

  1. Go to the Studio One drop down menu
  2. Select Preferences
  3. Under the Locations tab, click Reset Blacklist

Step 4: Verify Plug-in Installation Paths

Under the Locations tab, click VST Plug-ins. Make sure your plug-ins are installed in the following locations:

macOS

  • /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/ (AU)
  • /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST/ (VST2)

Windows

  • C:\Program Files\Vstplugins (VST2)

Remember: VST3 plug-ins are not working by default in Studio One.

Step 5: Verify Plug-in Folder Location

Make sure Studio One's plug-ins location points to the appropriate folder that contains your plug-ins.
